What To Watch

Doing more with less: Niels Giffey is out with a broken finger; Napier is questionable with a foot injury. With Calhoun playing despite a sprained wrist, the Huskies have only seven healthy scholarship players, one of whom is former walk-on Brendan Allen, who might see some meaningful playing time. This will be another test of UConn's will and grit.

Nolan steps up: Nolan had his best game at Cincinnati, and the freshman could play a bigger role in these final two games as the Huskies evaluate and plan for next season.

Bullish on UConn? The Bulls, despite the record, have a history of playing the Huskies tough, and took them to OT in Gampel a month ago. Although this game means little to them, look for them to play hungry, with a chance to knock off a brand-name opponent before their students.

Slow-down game: South Florida plays a zone defense and likes to slow it down, and UConn, without Napier, is less equipped to play the up-tempo game it prefers. So don't look for a flowing offensive game here.

Turnover key: UConn played hard, and fairly well, but made mistakes down the stretch against Cincinnati. Players like Boatright and R.J. Evans will need to take care of the ball better.
