Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are married! The longtime couple tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony after famously delaying their wedding until the legalization of gay marriage in California. The 32-year-old “Veronica Mars” star Kristen Bell and the 38-year-old “Parenthood” star Dax Shepard were first engaged in 2009. As years went by — as they awaited marriage equality — they became the parents of a little girl, Lincoln, who is now seven months old. TMZ was the first to report of the quiet wedding which has since been reported by other media. The longtime couple did away with tradition and got married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk Office. They quote an unnamed eyewitness source who says the couple had shown up to get their license and took up the clerk’s offer to marry them on the spot. Kirsten Bell gave an often-quoted interview to The Advocate, in which she made clear that the delay in marriage was in solidarity, noting she did not feel it was “appropriate taking advantage of a right” which, at that time was denied to gays and lesbians.
